Winter is already on it's way and the Winter Walks re-start next month. Here are the details of the October Ramble in the Clwydian Hills from meet coordinator, Roger Sager:
Starting Point - Car park in old quarry entrance (Pystyll Gwyn Quarry) at SJ 188 573.
Arrive in time to leave the car park at 10 am.
Directions to start - Turn left off A494 Mold to Ruthin road ¾ mile after leaving Llanferres at SJ 185 593. Signposted B5430 to Llanarmon-yn-Ial. Continue along this road for 1 ¼ miles, car park on the left at SJ 188 573. The entrance is easy to miss, it is immediately after a minor road junction on the left.
Route Details - Lunch at Miner’s Arms, Maeshafn. Route out via Eryrys and the lower slopes of Bryn Alyn. Back via Big Covert. Total walk 8 miles, 1499feet of ascent.
