Saturday 18th June
Weather permitting, this meet will take place at Trevor Rocks near Llangollen. The news archive contains articles about previous trips to Trevor Rocks.
The purpose of the meet is to advise and encourage members who are starting to lead sport climbs outdoors. Therefore, any beginners who want to attend are recommended to acquaint themselves with this article:

And also to read Chapter 9(including the diagrams) of this BMC booklet:

Helmets are highly recommended, some of our members will not need to be reminded that there is a band of loose and friable rock running through some of the routes at Trevor and there have been a few near misses in the past.
Since limestone is notoriously slippery when wet, the meet depends on good weather.
If the weather forecast on Friday night suggests that it will be drier in the east then we could go to Harpur Hill near Buxton instead.
If we get rained off after arrival at Trevor then we could retreat to the climbing wall at Plas Power Adventure near Wrexham.
All enquiries to the meet coordinator, Andy Gee.
